What Is Beidan? Beijing Single-Match Rules, SP Values & Payout Math

A complete guide to Beidan (Beijing Single-Match lottery): game types, how SP values differ from fixed odds, why payouts multiply by 65%, and how to compare Beidan SP against Jingcai odds before betting.

1. What Is Beidan

Beidan (北京单场, Beijing Single-Match) is an official football lottery issued by the Beijing sports lottery center, sold across most of China. It coexists with Jingcai but differs in pricing mechanism, game coverage and parlay rules.

2. Game Types

GameWhat you predictNotes
1X290-minute resultSingle-match allowed
Handicap 1X2Result after handicapUsually a 1-goal line
Total Goals0–7+ goalsHigh-odds single-match play
Over/Under + Odd/EvenGoal total bandsBeginner friendly, 4 options
Half/Full TimeHT & FT combination9 options
Correct ScoreExact scoreHardest

Key rule difference vs Jingcai: every Beidan game type allows single-match bets — no forced parlays.

3. SP Values and Payout Math

Beidan prices are SP values (Starting Price):

  • The SP you see when betting is a reference; settlement uses the final SP at draw close;
  • Payout formula: payout = stake × ∏SP × 65%;
  • The 65% payout ratio applied outside the SP is the number-one source of beginner miscalculation.

Example: a ¥2 double at SPs of 2.50 and 2.00:

Payout = 2 × 2.50 × 2.00 × 0.65 = ¥6.50

Jingcai at the same displayed numbers would pay ¥10. So always multiply Beidan SP by 0.65 before comparing — our Parlay Calculator has both modes built in.

4. Beidan vs Jingcai

Practical rule of thumb: use Beidan for high-conviction singles, compare prices for regular 1X2, prefer Jingcai for parlays.

5. Using Model Data for Beidan

Beidan covers largely the same matches as Jingcai, so our per-match AI predictions apply directly: high-confidence signals suit Beidan singles, and the Kelly Index helps spot market anomalies before you compare SP×0.65 against Jingcai odds.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an SP value in Beidan?
SP (Starting Price) is the payout basis finalized at draw close. Unlike Jingcai, which locks your odds at purchase, Beidan shows a reference SP when you bet and settles on the final SP.
Why do Beidan payouts multiply by 65%?
Beidan's payout ratio is about 65%, applied outside the SP: payout = stake × ∏SP × 0.65. Jingcai's ratio is already baked into its fixed odds. To compare the two, multiply Beidan SP by 0.65 first.
Beidan or Jingcai — which pays better?
Compare per match: Jingcai odds versus Beidan SP × 0.65. Beidan's edge is full single-match betting on every game type (no forced parlays); Jingcai's edge is higher effective payout ratio and 8-fold parlays.
